Meta Description length Updates

Since December 2017 truncates snippets were 300 characters. But on 09 May 2018, We saw that Google again started showing only 160 character of meta description. Now you can also write meta descriptions of any length more than 160 but Google will only display 160 characters. All SEO executives generally writes meta descriptions between 50 to 320 characters but now it is recommended to write only 160 characters.
Previously update regarding meta description was in December 2017, we reported that Google search snippets seemed to be 320 character limit.
